Bulk products
Creating a bulk product
1) In the PrestaShop back office, create a new product with the following characteristics:
- a reference starting with DIV
- a large stock quantity
- a selling price per 1 kg (or any other unit of measure): enter the tax-excluded (ex-VAT) price.
- a suitable VAT rate
2) In the "Price" tab, in the right-hand area:
Enter the unit of measure
For example "/kg" here
Enter the ex-VAT price again per unit of measure (the same as above, to the nearest cent)
3) In the "Options" tab, choose "Nowhere" visibility (so that it is not visible online)
Selling a bulk product
Catalogue or Scan mode
- Scan/search/click on the bulk product to add it to the cart
- A pop-up opens to enter the chosen quantity
- Type the desired quantity, the calculated price is displayed at the bottom, then click the Add button
- Check out as usual
- edit the quantity
- Simply click on the quantity field of the cart line
- Simply click on the quantity field of the cart line
- You can of course also delete the entire product line and redo the previous step
The entered information appears on the receipt
