Returns

The PrestaTill cash register makes it easy to manage a return with:

- choice to restock the product or not

- choice between refund or creation of a credit note

When a refund is issued, a credit note is also created to serve as an accounting document. However, it cannot be reused.

1. Identify the order

To process the return, you first need to identify the relevant order.

Several methods are available:

- Scan the barcode on the receipt (or enter it manually)

- Perform a manual search using the "Find a ticket" button at the bottom

- Identify a customer and look up the order in their customer profile

2. Process the return

The list of order items appears, and a simple click on the button allows you to select the item(s) to return.

You can choose the quantity to return and optionally adjust the amount by typing it directly.

Important: If a global discount was applied at the time of purchase, an automatic pro-rata calculation is performed: the refund amount shown already takes this into account.

The "Return selected items" button on the right is now active.

You can then choose whether to restock the items or not, and whether to issue a refund or create a credit note.

- In the case of a credit note, the credit note receipt is offered for printing or sending by email. It is also available from the customer's profile in the POS.

- In the case of a refund, you can choose the refund method, then a printable receipt is offered for printing in the Payments tab of the order, which opened automatically.

In the module settings (PrestaShop back office), you can choose whether or not to display the "Restock" button.
