General Questions
The download is available in your Prestatill customer area under My Licenses. Your active subscriptions and their expiration dates are listed there.
If your subscription is still active, simply click the download icon to get the latest version of the module.

In general, once a module is installed, updates are instantly available.
If that's not the case, here are 3 procedures to try:
1) Repeat the module installation process
2) Reset the module *
3) Clear the deep cache of your browser by following this procedure:
In Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge / Brave:
– Press F12 on your keyboard
– Right-click the Refresh button
– Click on "Empty cache and hard reload"
– Press F12 on your keyboard
* Resetting the module does not delete its configuration settings. However, it may impact employee profile permissions in PrestaShop, which should therefore be checked.
This issue may sometimes occur when a request trying to fetch too much data from the database gets stuck in a loop on the browser side.
It usually works fine in private browsing mode.
To resolve this issue in the current browser session, you need to clear the local storage cache.
Please follow the steps below carefully:
- In normal browsing mode, go to the Shop Manager
- Press the F12 key on your keyboard
- Click on the Console tab
- After the > symbol, type localStorage.clear();
–> every character matters
–> see I below - Press the Enter key
- Right-click on Refresh and click on Empty cache and hard reload
–> see II below - Press the F12 key again
Stock Management
(This section only applies to users of the Multi-Stock Store module.)
Sometimes, an inconsistency may occur between the total stock managed by PrestaShop and the stock assigned to a specific store.
When this happens, a warning message appears in the Stock tab of the product sheet:
It is often very difficult to identify what triggered the inconsistency (e.g., leftover quantity in the database, converting a product with combinations into a simple product, incorrect handling of order statuses, a brief PrestaShop connection issue during a transaction, etc.).
The best approach is to review the affected products and manually reset them directly from the product page by following this procedure:
1) In the Stock tab, click the button, then click
2) In the Quantities tab (or Combinations), set the stock(s) to 0, then click
3) In the Smart Stock module (accessible via the Shop Manager, under the Stock In/Out menu), assign the stock quantities to each store.
Note: You can also go to the Stock tab of the product sheet, manually enter the quantities for each store, and then click
If needed, Prestatill can provide you with a custom database query listing all products affected by this inconsistency.

It may happen that you notice positive or negative stock movements without any apparent reason, as if they occurred on their own.
In 99% of cases, these “phantom” movements can be explained by the following scenario:
1️⃣ Creating or editing a product sheet
In the first browser tab, an employee creates a new product sheet (with initial stock at 0) or edits an existing one (with current stock levels). He saves the sheet at this stage.
2️⃣ Adding or removing stock via Smart Stock
In a second tab (or even on another computer), the employee opens the Stock In/Out submenu in Smart Stock and adjusts the stock levels (for example, to make a product immediately available for sale in the POS).
3️⃣ Returning to the original product sheet
The employee then goes back to the first tab, completes the product sheet (images, descriptions, other information), and saves it again. This is when the phantom stock movement occurs.
Why? Because the browser did not refresh the product tab with the updated stock from Smart Stock. When the employee saves the product sheet again, the stock state reverts to the value known in step 1, thereby undoing or overwriting the changes made in step 2. This creates an unexpected positive or negative stock movement.
👉 Note: This issue can also occur between two different computers, not just in two tabs of the same browser.
How to avoid this issue?
To ensure reliable stock management, always make sure the product sheet is closed on all browsers and devices before making any stock movements. This will prevent any desynchronization between screens and ensure that the latest adjustments are correctly applied.
POS
The Prestatill POS allows you to carry out in-store sales in an ergonomic, intuitive, and high-performance environment.
As a true PrestaShop module, it was designed to rely 100% on PrestaShop without altering its behavior and with NO OVERRIDES.
The goal is to let you find all sales-related information directly in the PrestaShop Back Office — whether the sale was made online or in a physical store: orders, customers, invoices, statistics, and more.
Since Prestatill is a cloud-connected POS system, you can access it from anywhere and from any internet-connected device (PC, Mac, tablet). This allows you to manage your store remotely or make mobile sales (fairs, trade shows, markets, etc.).
Our tool is constantly evolving (performance, usability, design) and regularly gains new features, based on customer feedback and emerging needs.
Additionally, the subscription includes full technical support throughout your subscription period, with no extra cost, according to the contractual terms. There is no need for a separate maintenance contract — everything is included in the subscription.
In case of a request from a competent authority, this subscription model also allows us to ensure proper usage of our tool by subscribed clients, in compliance with the Finance Law of 01/01/2018.
There is no commitment period.
Any month started is considered due.
No, the number of sellers is unlimited for a given store.
A usage license is assigned to one store (physical point of sale).
A separate subscription is required for each physical store. Starting from the second store, we offer a discounted rate.
Depending on your needs, or in the case of a franchise with multiple locations, we can discuss a commercial offer tailored to your situation.
You can manage as many stores as you like.
To manage separate stock levels for each store, simply install the Multi-Stock Store module, which turns PrestaShop stores into independent warehouses (see the next question).
Yes.
– In PrestaShop 1.7, by installing the Multi-Stock Store module, which reinvents the warehouse concept by turning a PrestaShop store into a true physical stock location. Learn more
– In PrestaShop 1.6, by enabling Advanced Stock Management and using warehouses.
-> Hardware and Requirements
As long as your device is connected to the internet and has a web browser (Chrome or Edge highly recommended), PrestaTill will work! That means PC, Mac, POS terminal, laptop, or tablet — all are compatible. No special investment is required to use PrestaTill.
However, we recommend a minimum screen size of 10 inches for optimal usability, and at least 4 GB of RAM.
The user experience is optimal starting at a screen width of 1024 pixels.
Requirements:
– Exact domain URL (to activate the license)
– SSL certificate recommended for the site
– Screen with a minimum resolution of 1024 px in width
– Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser recommended
Hosting type:
While PrestaTill can run on standard shared hosting, we recommend choosing a configuration that matches the size of your catalog (a key factor) and the number of users who will use the POS simultaneously.
Feel free to test the performance of your hosting (and site) using Google’s free tool PageSpeed Insights.
If you’re looking for high-end hosting with excellent performance, optimized for PrestaShop, we recommend choosing a suitable plan with our partner 772424.com.
We do not recommend any specific printer.
There is no printer configuration within the Prestatill POS itself, as it is a 100% web-based service.
As long as the printer you choose can print a portion of any regular web page, it will be able to print receipts from the Prestatill POS.
For reference, we’ve received positive feedback on the following printers:
– Epson TM T20 III (and the TM range in general)
– Oxhoo TP85 and TP90
– Expedy CLOUD IOT
Note: On iPad, only printers compatible with iPad Air seem to work, to our knowledge. For example, the Star Micronics TSP 650II printer is used by some of our clients with iPads.
The Prestatill POS is also configured to work with automatic remote printing services provided by Expedy. Learn more
We do not recommend any specific barcode scanner, whether wired or Bluetooth.
Any scanner that can emulate a keyboard, disable caps lock, and simulate the Enter key press should be compatible.
To ensure compatibility, simply scan a barcode into any text editor. If 13 digits appear and the cursor moves to the next line, the scanner will work with the Prestatill POS.
Since the Prestatill POS is a 100% web-based service accessible through a browser, it is not possible to interact directly with a cash drawer.
However, many receipt printers have an RJ11 or RJ12 port that allows direct connection to certain cash drawers, which then open automatically when a print command is sent.
The alternative is to open the drawer manually using a key.
-> Settings
From the browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc.), the Prestatill POS uses the printers available in the operating system (Windows, Android, iOS, etc.).
To optimize receipt printing, you must configure the following 3 settings in the browser print preview:
- Reduced margins
- Normal zoom
- Enable background graphics printing to display barcodes
These settings are saved by the browser and automatically reused by default for the next receipt printing.
No.
It is also possible to send the receipt by email at the end of a checkout process or later upon request.
Please note that for a customer identified at checkout, the email address proposed when sending the receipt is the one associated with the customer account linked to PrestaShop.
As a reminder, offline (disabled) products are not visible online and therefore cannot normally be sold.
The POS handles them partially depending on the context:
- EAN13 barcode scan: the product is added to the cart and can be sold (because if it can be scanned, it should still be possible to sell it even if it is disabled)
- Manual search: the product is visible in the search results but cannot be added to the cart
- Catalog search: the product is displayed or hidden depending on the display options selected by the user.
To learn more: see our tutorial.
Simply change the product visibility and set it to “Nowhere” so the product is not visible online but remains available in the POS.
