Please note: there are no particular restrictions on the customer code format: it can contain digits, letters of the alphabet, be in EAN13 format or not.
Many tests have been successfully carried out using loyalty cards or membership cards from major retail chains.

Adding a customer code
PrestaShop BO Customer Profile
A new "Customer code" field is available in the customer profile.
Simply type or scan the desired code and then save the customer profile.

A new "Customer code" column is available in the Customers view to facilitate overall visibility and searches.
Simply type or scan the code in the header to search for a customer.

POS Customer Profile
This same "Customer code" field is available in the POS customer profile.
Simply type or scan the desired code and then save the customer profile.
Identifying a customer using their code
After clicking the customer button in the POS:
Simply scan the customer's card on which the barcode is located for the customer to be identified with a single beep.
It is also possible to type the code in the search field and press Enter to get the same result.
