Tutorial: Managing Packs

Since pack stock management has changed in PrestaShop 8.x and 9.x, you need to use at least the versions listed below for these 3 Prestatill modules:

At this time, to get stable pack management for:

- stock movements

- online sales

- in-store sales through the POS

you must follow the rules below:

Shop Parameters > Product Settings

In Shop Parameters > Product Settings, use this mode:

Product Page

On the pack product page, use this mode:

Note: since version 8.x, PrestaShop automatically calculates the number of available packs based on the actual stock of the products included in the pack.

Rules to Follow

- Make stock movements on the pack exclusively through Smart Stock

- If a product from an online sale is returned, use only a partial refund or the Canceled status.

Be careful with order statuses: they can cause side effects depending on the options checked in the status settings.

With the "Use quantity of products in the pack" option, you need to make a stock movement on the pack. This increases the stock quantity of each product in the pack and, as a result, the number of available packs (only the movements on the products are shown).

The information below only applies if you use the Stock per Store module.

If You Have Several Stores (Separate Stock)

The Stock per Store module lets you assign stock to a specific store.

When you create a pack based on products that already have stock, clicking the Save button on the pack's product page retrieves and displays the stock of each product linked to the pack:

The quantity displayed is the lowest stock level.
