Tickets

On-hold tickets

After adding at least 1 product to the cart, it is possible to use the « Hold » button in the right-hand area, which then allows you to check out other customers.

Note: an ongoing ticket is automatically placed on hold as soon as you leave the POS interface (return to home screen, shop manager, etc.)

On-hold tickets are accessible via the « On-hold tickets » button at the bottom of the screen, which displays them in a pop-up.

Note: a customer's on-hold tickets, as well as their online pending carts, are available from their customer area in the POS (see the Customers tutorial)

The button on each row allows you to preview the ticket contents. (Clicking it again closes the preview.)

When there are multiple on-hold tickets and the customer is not identified, this makes it easy to quickly find a specific ticket without loading it in the POS.

Simply click the « Select » button on the desired ticket row to automatically load it in the cart view of the POS.

On-hold tickets are linked to the current POS session. They disappear as soon as the POS is closed.

Search for a finalized ticket

The « Search for a ticket » button displays a pop-up containing all checked-out tickets.
This view can optionally be enriched with online orders if this option has been enabled in the POS settings (see the Configuration tutorial).

Note: a given customer's tickets are available from their customer area in the POS (see the Customers tutorial)

The pop-up allows you to search for a ticket by various criteria (Customer, Date...) and to view the current status of a ticket (Partial payment, Cancelled, ...).

Simply click the « Select » button on the desired ticket for the management options to appear.

Note: as long as no action has been finalized, the existing ticket is not modified and it is possible to search for another one or start a new cart using the green « + » button on the right.

1. Ticket details tab

The purchased products are displayed. On each row, there is a button to access the PrestaShop product sheet and a return button (see the Returns tutorial).

The right-hand menu offers several options:

- Print a duplicate receipt

- Print a gift ticket

- Send the ticket by email

- Process a return for the selected products

- Change the order status (goes directly to the « Statuses » tab, see point 3 below)

- Check out the ticket when it has only been partially paid. The display then switches to the view corresponding to the multi-payment checkout step for a ticket (see the Sell a product tutorial)

2. Payments tab

It allows you to view the different payment methods used to pay a ticket.

To the right of each payment method, an icon allows you to print a receipt for the corresponding payment method.

Below this list, an input area allows you to modify one of the payments, for example to correct an error when choosing the payment method.
For example, let's say that 40€ was entered as cash but it was actually paid by cheque. You need to add a line with a negative amount of -40€ for Cash, then a line with a positive amount of 40€ for cheque.

Note: in the case of a product return with refund, no action is needed, a negative line automatically appears in this list.

3. Statuses tab

It allows you to modify the order status exactly as in the PrestaShop Back Office.

This tab is useful for managing status changes for Click & Collect orders (see the Click & Collect tutorial) and optionally online orders if the option has been enabled (see the Configuration tutorial).

It is not necessary to use it for in-store returns, as these are handled by the Returns procedure which directly impacts the status and payments of an order.

However, the status change can in principle be used to cancel a POS ticket.

Important: to avoid errors and omissions, simply switching an order to the “Cancelled” status automatically triggers the negative reversal of the payment method(s) used for the transaction (visible in the payments tab).

4. Documents tab

It allows you to view and optionally download the documents generated by PrestaShop (invoice, delivery slip).

Note: the PrestaShop invoice can be automatically sent by email to all identified customers if this option has been enabled (see the Configuration tutorial).
